Abu Dhabi Launches Zadna Rating App for Food Safety

Abu Dhabi introduces a new mobile app, Zadna Rating, to boost transparency in the food service sector and ensure consumer safety.

The app enables users to review the sanitary conditions and safety standards of over 9,000 restaurants and cafes in the city. Users can access inspection results and ratings by scanning a QR code displayed at each establishment.

A restaurant’s rating is based on a thorough evaluation by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority and the Public Health Center, with criteria including:

• Compliance with food safety regulations
• Facility infrastructure conditions
• Food transportation methods
• Staff personal hygiene
• Food handling practices
• Temperature control for food storage
• Food waste disposal systems

After the inspection, restaurants receive a rating from A to F, with A indicating the highest level of compliance with sanitary standards.
