2-year rent-free and assistance on visas will be awarded to startups that open offices in Dubai's District 2020 after the end of Expo 2020 and will be picked under Scale2Dubai business program. The chosen startups, numbering more than 80, for the Scale2Dubai will be known by late March. Startups need to be in:
- Green energy
- Smart city innovations
- Smart mobility, etc.
A key change to UAE labor law allowing children aged 15 and above to take on part-time jobs
A key change to UAE labor law allowing children aged 15 and above to take on part-time jobs is set to boost business and empower youths, experts have said. Changes to law were first outlined in November 2021. Among them:
- Relaxed visa rules for jobseekers
- Ability to live in the UAE for up to 6 months after leaving a job
- Issuance of 12 types of work permits, etc.
