Dubai Students are Cultivating Organic Vegetables for School Meals

Dubai school introduced a unique educational project, focused on teaching students the fundamentals of agriculture, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Young gardeners grow fresh vegetables and fruits on the school grounds, which are then used in the school cafeteria.

The school utilizes modern soil-free growing technologies, allowing for year-round fresh produce while conserving water. The school farm grows a variety of crops, including lettuce, tomatoes, basil, and eggplants.

In addition to hydroponic systems, the school has a greenhouse, garden, and beehive. Students learn how to care for plants, observe bee behavior, and harvest honey.
