Expenses in Dubai Set to Rise
The Dubai government has announced an increase in several tariffs, leading to higher costs for residents and businesses starting in 2025.
New Parking Fees
From March 2025, there will be differentiated parking fees. During peak hours, the cost of parking at premium locations will rise to AED 6 per hour. Additionally, hourly parking fees will apply near major event venues.
Premium Parking Spaces:
- AED 6 (from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM / from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM)
- AED 4 (from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM / from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Standard Parking Spaces:
- AED 4 (from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM)
All Parking Spaces:
- Free (from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM / all day on Sundays)
Event Parking Zone:
- AED 25 (during major events)
New Toll Road Charges
Dynamic pricing for Salik toll roads will be introduced in January 2025. Charges will fluctuate based on the time of day, with higher rates during peak hours.
- Peak Hours: AED 6 (6:00 AM–10:00 AM / 4:00 PM–8:00 PM)
- Off-Peak Hours: AED 4 (10:00 AM–4:00 PM / 8:00 PM–1:00 AM) and all day on Sundays (excluding public holidays and major events)
- Free: 1:00 AM–6:00 AM
This marks the first adjustment to Salik toll charges since its introduction in 2007.
New Sewerage Tariffs
Starting in 2025, sewerage service rates will increase incrementally over three years to encourage water conservation.
- 2025: 1.5 fils per gallon
- 2026: 2 fils per gallon
- 2027: 2.8 fils per gallon
