Large-scale Pedestrian Project

Dubai is set to develop a 6,500km pedestrian network

The Dubai Walk project will cover 160 emirate's areas. It will feature:  

• 4,200km of Walkways
• 2,300km of Upgraded Routes  
• 110 Bridges and Underpasses, Including a 2km Bridge Near the Museum of the Future

The goal is to increase pedestrian mobility from 13% to 25% by 2040.  

To encourage walking, Dubai will launch an application allowing residents to learn walkways and earn rewards.
