Dubai Cares, a charitable organization, has released the results of a comprehensive study on the role of education in addressing climate change. The report, developed after two years of consultations with experts in ecology and education, outlines the UAE’s plans to implement initiatives in school programs to foster environmental awareness among young people.

Key measures involve introducing eco-friendly school meals, teaching students skills to adapt to a changing climate, and enhancing teacher training on sustainable development topics. The report highlights the crucial role of teachers in imparting environmental knowledge and inspiring students to embrace sustainable practices.

“Global challenges cannot be addressed without fundamentally rethinking education systems,” states the foreword of the report.
