Dubai International Airport Opens Waiting Lounge for Passengers with Special Needs

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has taken a significant effort to enhance comfort and accessibility for all passengers and opened a new dedicated waiting lounge in Terminal 2. 

Developed in partnership with dnata, this unique space is specifically designed for passengers with special needs. The lounge features a spacious interior with modern amenities, adapted for individuals with disabilities, offering a tranquil and accessible setting.

The lounge includes a specially equipped area for passengers with autism and other sensory sensitivities, providing a peaceful space for relaxation. For passengers with visual and hearing impairments, the lounge has contrasting surfaces, tactile indicators, and strategically placed seating near staff to facilitate easier communication.
