Dubai's $49.3 billion budget for 2022 to 2024 was approved by the Government. Budget for 2022 – $16.3 billion: 42% – economy, infrastructure and transport 30% – social sector 23% – security and justice 5% – innovation and creativity
The UAE will ban non-vaccinated citizens from traveling abroad from January 10, 2022, as part of strengthening security measures against Covid-19.
Fully vaccinated citizens would require a booster shot. This was announced by the foreign ministry and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority. The ban would not apply to those with medical or humanitarian exemptions.
Abu Dhabi updated the green list of countries.
From January 3, 2022, the following countries have come off Abu Dhabi's green list that allows for quarantine-free travel during the Covid-19 pandemic:
- Lebanon
- Russia
- Qatar
- UK
