Prices for apartments in the world's highest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa
Prices for apartments in the world's highest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa, gained 23% ($6,152 per sqm) in 2021 compared to 2020 according to the Knight Frank consulting agency. Prices are still 30% off from 2014 peak. Apartment prices in Downtown Dubai increased by 17% in 2021 compared to 2020.
Empower, the world's biggest district cooling company based in Dubai
Empower, the world's biggest district cooling company based in Dubai, will supply 3,700 refrigeration tons (RT) to the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. It is part of the first phase of an agreement signed between Empower and the developer, Dubai Holding, in 2021.
The Dubai Government has approved 600 housing loans worth $163.3 million under the housing program.
As part of the housing program:
- The value of the housing loan provided to Emirati citizens increased to $272,200
- Processing of loans was accelerated
- The loan repayment period was extended to 25 years
