The new Dubai Metro Blue Line will increase the property value near stations by up to 25%
– According to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The $4.9 billion project of the new line is set to transform the north-east of the city.
It will:
- Reduce Traffic Congestion
- Handle 56,000 Passengers per Hour in Both Directions
- Serve 320,000 Passengers Daily by 2040
- Expand the Network to 131km, 78 Stations, and 168 Trains
- Establish a Direct Link with Dubai International Airport (DXB)
The Blue Line will connect 9 key areas:
• Mirdif
• Al Warqa
• Dubai International City 1 and 2
• Dubai Silicon Oasis
• Academic City
• Ras Al Khor Industrial Area
• Dubai Creek Harbour
• Dubai Festival City
The travel time between these destinations will be 10–25 mins.
Dubai Creek Harbour will have an iconic station designed by the global architectural firm, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the creators of Burj Khalifa.
The station at International City will be 44,000m² – the largest underground interchange station in the network.
Start of operation – 2029 (on the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Metro)
