The world's largest single-site solar plant has been inaugurated in Abu Dhabi

The world's largest single-site solar plant, Al Dhafra, has been inaugurated in Abu Dhabi.

The 2GW project spanning over 20km², will:

• Power 200,000 homes

• Displace 2.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions a year

This is in line with Net Zero 2050 and confirms the UAE's leading position in solar consumption

A Dubai heliport provider, Air Chateau, will purchase 100 air taxis worth $500 million from the aircraft developer, Archer Aviation.

The provider is planning to run an air taxi network across the Middle East, operating the Archer's Midnight electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts.
