Dubai has opened two new bridges to boost its transportation infrastructure
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has announced the successful completion of the Garn Al Sabkha-Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road Intersection Improvement Project, introducing two new bridges designed to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity in the expanding metropolis.
The first bridge, stretching 601 meters, facilitates smooth traffic movement from Garn Al Sabkha Street eastward to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and then north to Deira and Al Qusais. The second bridge, at 664 meters, aims to ease traffic towards Al Yalayis Street and Jebel Ali Port. Both bridges can accommodate up to 3,200 vehicles per hour.
A third bridge, spanning 943 meters and linking Garn Al Sabkha Street with Al Asayel Street, is expected to open by October of this year.
