- UAE Cabinet approved the national energy and hydrogen strategies
The upgraded UAE National Energy Strategy aims by 2030 to:
- Triple the contribution of renewable energy
- Invest up to $54 billion
The National Hydrogen Strategy aims to:
- Accelerate the growth of hydrogen economy
- Enhance the UAE’s position among the largest producers of low-emission hydrogen by 2031
The preliminary license was granted to the WeRide company to test autonomous vehicles. It produces: robotaxis, robobuses, robovans, etc.
Also approved was the National Electric Vehicles Policy, aimed to:
- Build a national network of electric vehicle chargers
- Contribute to the reduction of energy consumption in the transport sector by 20%
Moreover, the Ministry of Investment was established to promote the investment environment.
