UAE Karateka Wins Silver Medal

Fatima Haseef, a representative of the UAE, won a silver medal at the Asian Karate Championship.

Fatima Haseef, a member of the UAE national karate team, performed successfully at the recent Asian Championship in China, winning the silver medal in the under-68 kg weight category. 

Throughout the competition, Haseef showcased her high-level skills, securing confident victories against opponents from Saudi Arabia and Japan. The athlete also won in the semifinals; however, in the final match, she was defeated by a competitor from Hong Kong.

It is worth noting that this is her second silver medal at major international competitions. Previously, in 2021, she won a similar award at the Asian Junior Championship for athletes under 21 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
