The amount has increased by 15% over the past 3 years:

• 2024 – $17.5 Billion  
• 2023 – $17 Billion  

Federal budget allocation by sectors:

• Social Development: 39%  
• Government Affairs: 35.7%  
• Other Expenses: 17.7%  
• Financial Investments: 4%  
• Infrastructure: 3.6%  

Major allocations in social development:

– Public and Higher Education Programmes: $3 billion
